HELLO MAY.

Can you believe it's MAY? How is it even possible that we are almost half way through 2017 already? I'm so excited that it's May and already the weather is improving. I spent all day yesterday in the garden because it was so sunny. I love it. For May, I've set very blg orientated goals as summer is the time when I work hardest on my blog. Last summer I spent all my time on my blog and it resulted in me getting to the final of the Littlewoods Irish Blogger Awards, so this summer I want to work just as hard, if not harder on it. I'm excited :)

Here are my April goals:

Do 10,000 steps every day. I'm so bad at exercising and going outside in general and I feel like I didn't even make an effort with this goal. BUT, because the weather was somewhat nice a few days during the month I did reach 10,000 a couple of times, but not nearly the amount of times that I would hope.

Blog, blog, blog. This month I wrote a total of FIVE posts, one which hasn't been published yet. Four published posts isn't as much as I would like but tbh that's like once a week and that's good enough for me. I've slacked off so much with my blog because I HATE it at the mo but I tried.

Focus on the positive. OKAY SO, I did SO well with this goal. I even wrote a blog post on the things I'm grateful for and if that isn't positivity then idk what is. I've had a pretty crappy month but I was tried to be as happy as poss and I think I did so well so yay me.

Read more. Oh my GOD why am I the worst at reading ever? I used to be so good but Netflix has ruined me. I have been reading a lot more blogs recently but I can't seem to get into any books and the fact that I'm now watching Made in Chelsea doesn't help either.

Improve my sleeping pattern. I had done extremely well at this at the beginning of the month. I was going to sleep at 1AM or 2AM every night and waking up at like, 10AM, which for me, is actually amazing but once again, I've completely RUINED it and now I don't sleep until 4AM. I still get up at 10AM though so props to me.


So to be honest I've done so badly with my goals from April, but I'm a lot more excited for this month's goals. So without further ado, my May goals!

1. Blog AT LEAST once a week:
This month I'm excited to actually take time out to focus on my blog. I feel as though I've spent so much time on my Instagram lately that I've completely forgotten about my blog. Blogging once a week is really doable for me because once I get into the swing of things it doesn't take me long to get stuff done.

2. Do things outside of my comfort zone:
Funnily enough I've already started working on this one. I have something pretty exciting happening between this month and next month which I'm not 100% sure about yet but I've taken the first few baby steps with it.

3. Start working on blog rebrand:
I talked about redesigning my blog in my Blog Goals 2017 post but as the year progresses I have started hating my blog more and more and more so I really want to completely change it. This will be a slow process as I'm not sure what I'm doing or where I'm going but I want to start brainstorming some ideas so that I can have it done by the end of the year.

4. Start doing beauty and fashion posts again:
When I first started my blog the majority of my posts where fashion and beauty related and I loved doing them. Somewhere along the way I lost that and I feel as though as my posts are now mental health related, which is good in a way but I want to get back to writing about what I love with a few mental health posts in between.

5. SAVE! SAVE! SAVE!
I'm going to San Francisco (!!!!) in SIX(ish) WEEKS and I haven't saved a dime. If you follow me on Twitter you'll already know that I got a summer job which is so exciting because I'll have money!! I can't wait to get to Sephora OMG.

So there you have it. Like I said, my goals are extremely blog based this month and they are really simple but I hope you're as excited as I am.

  1. You've done really well in achieving these goals then! I'm the same as you - I can't wait for summer to work on my blog more. Currently, I post once a week but will be upping this to twice, eeek!! xx
